The Dilemma

Malik and Sven have known each other long enough to know exactly which buttons not to push. One day, Sven texts Malik about a new video game he’s excited about. However, Malik finds the game boring and not worth the hype. Before replying, Malik remembers that Sven has been really enthusiastic about this game and has been looking forward to playing it with him. Malik knows that if he tells Sven the truth, it might hurt his feelings and dampen his excitement. On the other hand, Malik values honesty and doesn’t want to pretend to like something he doesn’t.
