The Dilemma

Ava and Leilani are the kind of friends who finish each other's sentences and notice when something is off. Thompson. Mr. Thompson is known for his engaging lessons and his encouragement to think critically. One day, Ava overhears a group of students planning to play a prank on Mr. Thompson by locking him out of the classroom during lunch. They think it would be hilarious to see his reaction. Ava is torn because she knows Mr. Thompson deserves respect and kindness, and she doesn't want to be part of something that might hurt his feelings. However, she also feels the pressure to fit in with her classmates who are involved in the prank, including Leilani, who seems excited about it.
