The Dilemma

Bolanle and Mohan met on the first day of middle school and quickly became each other's most trusted confidants. Recently, Bolanle's family had to move to a smaller house, and in the process, Bolanle lost his favorite soccer ball, which had been a gift from his grandfather. Feeling upset, Bolanle shares his frustration with Mohan. Mohan listens sympathetically and reminds Bolanle of the time when he lost his own favorite video game, which was very important to him. Mohan explains how he coped by focusing on the fun times they had playing together and how it helped him feel better. Bolanle appreciates Mohan's perspective but still feels the sting of his loss. Later, Bolanle finds out that Mohan has an extra soccer ball that he could borrow.
