The Dilemma

Renata and Vikram have known each other long enough to know exactly which buttons not to push. Recently, Renata's parents have insisted she practice piano every day after school, hoping she will become a talented musician. However, Renata finds the daily practice tedious and has started to dislike the piano. She misses playing soccer with Vikram and the rest of her friends. One afternoon, Vikram invites Renata to join a friendly soccer match, but her parents remind her of her piano practice. Renata feels torn between her parents' wishes and her own desire to enjoy soccer with her friends. She wonders if forcing herself to practice piano is worth the growing dislike she feels for it.
