The Dilemma

Obi and Nico have known each other long enough to know exactly which buttons not to push. One day, Obi finds out that Nico wasn't invited to a popular classmate's birthday party. Nico is visibly upset, feeling left out and rejected. Obi feels the pressure to make Nico feel better, especially since they always support each other. Obi considers two options: to convince Nico that they can have their own fun day together, showing that missing the party isn't a big deal, or to encourage Nico to talk to the classmate about why they weren't invited, which might help Nico understand the situation better.

This dilemma explores the tension between two important values:

Loyalty
vs
Autonomy

Consider how these values might conflict or complement each other in this situation.
